She has led support groups for Lyme families in Virginia’s Loudoun and Fairfax counties and has served on the board of the National Capital Lyme Disease Association as a fundraiser, and for Governor McDonnell’s Lyme Disease Task Force as a media relations volunteer. Out of her experiences and desire to help others, she co-authored My Lyme Guide – Tips & Tools to Manage Lyme and Associated Illness. She is currently an independent consultant, assisting Lyme-afflicted patients with tasks related to their healthcare.
