Special guest: Dr. Bernarda Zenker, MD, is a board-certified family physician through the American Academy of Family Medicine. She is also board-certified in integrative medicine and certified functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Zenker has a concern for finding solutions to chronic health problems using methylation genetics, nutritional supplements and diet recommendations to assist traditional medicine in the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases. Some areas of specific focus are preventing age-related memory loss, detoxification of toxins, diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease and mycotoxin illness from mold exposure.
Special guest: Malisa Carullo, BSc, MSc, ND, earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine at National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. She completed her masters in biology with a concentration in genetics and molecular evolution. Malisa focuses on biological medicine and its treatment of chronic diseases, as well as healthy age management. Her practice interests include endocrinology and blending naturopathic medicine with sports medicine. She is currently working as a clinical affairs liaison at Metagenics.
Host Dana Laake is a licensed nutritionist providing preventive and therapeutic medical nutrition services for over 25 years. Her practice includes the nutritional evaluation and treatment of the full spectrum of health issues affecting children and adults. Dana holds a Master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Maryland.

Special guest: Heather Gunn, MS, CNS, LDN, is a clinical herbalist, licensed nutritionist and fitness consultant and serves as an account manager for SpectraCell. Heather attained a Master of Science in plant medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and is also a certified nutrition specialist in Maryland. Her special interests are supporting overall health, weight loss, hormone balance and stress management. Heather is a strong believer in functional wellness and uses nutrition and plants to support good sleep, improved energy, better concentration, low stress levels and balanced hormone production.
Special guest: Rex Jones has been an educator with Garden of Life for more than 8 years and brings with him a lifelong passion for the natural foods industry and a strong knowledge of herbs. For more than 13 years he worked in a natural foods retail setting as a nutrition manager and herbalist. Rex also led classes, co-hosted a radio show, managed web content and gave a variety of in-store and off-site health lectures. She received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida, and she is a graduate of the Huntington College of Health Sciences and the National Leadership Institute. She also has extensive certifications and experience in holistic medicinal practices, such as healing touch, craniosacral therapy, meditation techniques, certified coaching and herbology. Teri is currently in private practice in the metro DC area, where she specializes in complex health conditions and elite athletic performance.
