Amber Lynn Vitse, CN, is a certified nutritionist in Integrative Nutrition, and also brings her training in Ayurvedic medicine to the Garden of Life education team. She has worked in product retail for 16 years, as well as maintained her own wellness practice, working with doctors and alternative health practitioners promoting optimum health, inside and out. Amber has written educational articles for a variety of natural health publications, and she is excited to be a Regional Educator for Garden of Life and continue the mission of Empowering Extraordinary Health®.

Veronica P. Gasko, DC, graduated from Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia, in 1989. Shortly after beginning practice, she started using nutrition as part of her protocols to help patients achieve their health goals. Her success led to opening three practices specializing in functional nutrition with chiropractic sports and pediatric care. Dr. Gasko has lectured throughout the US and Canada on pediatric chiropractic, along with her sister Theresa Warner, DC. She is currently working with Metagenics as a Medical Information Scientist, addressing questions on formulas and protocols for practitioners.

Bill Shaddle has been involved in helping doctors understand and apply nutrition as a therapeutic tool for nearly 40 years. Bill has managed sales teams, product lines, divisions and companies in the nutritional sciences field. He has developed workshops and training programs on different health and nutritional topics and is co-author of the acclaimed Nutrition Masters Course series. Bill is currently the Senior Director of Strategic Development for Metagenics, where he uses his background and knowledge to help translate Metagenics’ science into practical application for the healthcare practitioner.

Anthony Thomas, Ph.D., earned his B.A. in Nutrition, Food Science, and Dietetics from California State University Northridge, his doctorate in Nutritional Biology from the University of California at Davis, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California at Los Angeles Larry Hillblom Islet Research Center. His primary research interests have focused on the influence of dietary and lifestyle factors on the pathogenesis of chronic cardiovascular/metabolic diseases including obesity, insulin resistance syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. He has authored/co-authored multiple peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and has served as a referee with relevant expertise in the fields of nutrition, obesity, and diabetes for multiple scientific journals.
